Live Action Sports LLC Hole-In-One Prize Policy

Live Action is committed to ensuring a fair, transparent, and legally compliant process for awarding Hole-In-One prizes. To maintain compliance with applicable state regulations and uphold the integrity of our contests, all participants must adhere to the following geographic and submission eligibility requirements.

Live Action Golf Hole-In-One Rules

It is the responsibility of the Live Action App User to fully understand and agree to these rules prior to participating in any match that is eligible for a hole-in-one. Live Action reserves the right to deny the Hole-In-One prize to any user who does not comply with the rules below or when Live Action has failed to verify the Hole-In-One based on the criteria below. 

Legal Compliance Notice

Participation in the Hole-In-One Prize competition is governed by federal and state laws regulating skill-based contests. It is the responsibility of each user to ensure that their participation does not violate any laws of their jurisdiction. Live Action reserves the right to restrict or deny prize awards in jurisdictions where such contests are not permitted or where licenses are pending.

Hole Eligibility

For a Par 3 hole to be eligible for a Hole-In-One prize, it must have a yardage of 150 yards or greater, verified according to the rules below. At all times you must be a paid subscriber with an active Live Action Subscription to submit and collect any Hole-In-One prize. You must be a paid subscriber at least one day prior to making the Hole-In-One for the shot to qualify and you must remain a paid subscriber through the date of prize payment. 

Geographic Eligibility 

To be eligible for the Hole-In-One prize, the shot must occur within the United States (including D.C. and Puerto Rico), excluding the following states where skill-based prize contests are not currently permitted: Delaware, Louisiana, and South Carolina.

In addition, Alaska and Montana require a special license to operate skill-based contests. Users located in those two states are currently not eligible for the prize.

Live Action uses GPS and IP tracking to determine your real-time location. Hole-In-One shots made in ineligible states will not qualify for the prize, regardless of subscription status or video evidence.

License Required for Eligibility

Live Action Sports will not permit gameplay that qualifies for Hole-In-One prize eligibility in the following states until required licenses are obtained: Alaska and Montana.

Non-Tournament Hole-In-One – Video Verification

All non-tournament Hole-In-One attempts must be played, recorded, and submitted entirely within the Live Action App. Matches or videos submitted using third-party apps, external cameras, or recordings not originating from the app will not be accepted. This ensures secure timestamping, location tracking, and user authentication.

In non-tournament matches, there must be a direct line of sight from the tee box to the cup itself. Disclaimer – Any obstructed views disqualify the hole for the Hole-In-One prize, such as elevated greens, sloping greens, etc., that obstruct the view between the tee off and the hole. 

  1. To qualify for a Hole-In-One prize, a match must be started and played within the Live Action App.
  2. Geographic location indicated within the Live Action App must match the selected course and hole selected for the Hole-In-One. 
  3. Each Golfer playing the match only gets one chance to play each hole during the match. 
  4. Only one video can be submitted for each hole played and the video can be recorded by anyone playing the match within the Live Action App. 
  5. The video must clearly show the hole number, the yardage marker, and the golfer playing the hole. Video must show the golfer make their shot from the tee box with the green in the background. The video must start before the shot is taken and record continuously until the ball travels to the cup, you must be able to see the ball drop into the cup itself, and the golfer travels to the hole and identifies their ball in the cup, including any celebratory footage. 
  6. The video must be flagged for Hole-In-One submission within the Live Action App and the Golfer who made the Live Action Shot must be selected from the Live Action Match Players. 
  7. All members of the match must electronically sign an affidavit confirming the Hole-In-One occurred on the specific date, time, hole, course, and geographic location identified in the Live Action App. 
  8. Live Action has a right to use all location data, date, and time stamps collected by Live Action App to verify the information submitted for the Hole-In-One. 
  9. Upon verification, Live Action Sports LLC will pay out the Hole In One Prize withing 90 days.

Tournament Hole-In-One – Tournament Official Verification

All eligible Hole in Ones at sanctioned tournaments (USGA, State Associations, Regional Tournaments, and Professional Golf Events), are eligible to win Hole-In-One prizes in compliance with these rules. To submit a tournament Hole-In-One, users will be directed to our website form and all details including course, tee time, hole, yardage, score, match time, and any other applicable detailed will be verified by Live Action with tournament officials, golf professionals, or others involved in the running of a sanctioned tournament or the running of the golf course venue. 

Hole-In-One Submission Checklist
To successfully verify and claim your Hole-In-One prize, you must follow the required steps listed below. Failure to complete any of these requirements may result in disqualification or denial of the prize.

To qualify for a Hole-In-One prize, all of the following must be submitted via the Live Action App or designated web form:

  1. Full Video Recording (unedited):
    • Clearly shows the hole number and yardage marker (must be 150+ yards)
    • Golfer is shown making the shot from the tee box
    • Ball is seen traveling to the cup and dropping in
    • Golfer walks to the hole and identifies their ball in the cup
  2. Match & Course Details:
  • Course name and hole number
  • Date and time of the match
  • Yardage of the hole
  • Name of golfer who made the Hole-In-One
  • Names of all other players in the match
  1. App Data Confirmation:
  • Location data (GPS) must match the selected course and hole in the app
  • The round must have been started and played entirely within the Live Action App
  1. Subscription Requirement:
  • Golfer must have an active paid subscription at least one day prior to the Hole-In-One
  • Subscription must remain active through the date of prize payout
  1. Age and Identify Requirement: 
  • Golfer must submit a photograph of a government issued identification, such as a state driver’s license or passport
  • Golfer’s legal name and address
  1. Payment Processing Requirement: 
  • Once the submission is verified, Golfer must complete and submit a signed W9 form to receive payment

Hole-In-One Prize Calculation

The monthly Hole-In-One Prize shall be evenly divided by Live Action Sports amongst all Verified Hole-In-Ones submitted by Live Action Sports Users during that month period. Live Action reserves the right to verify all submissions using internal data such as GPS location, time stamps, and user account activity. Any fraudulent or incomplete submissions will be rejected. Users are encouraged to review these rules carefully and ensure compliance before submitting a Hole-In-One for prize consideration.

Live Action reserves the right to adjust the prize pool calculation method in the future based on participation volume, promotional events, or licensing conditions. Any such changes will be communicated through the app or official website.
